A Note from the Universe

For every physical adventure, there's the possibility of loss. That's what makes it an adventure.

For every spiritual adventure, there's only gain. Which totally spoils the adventure, and is why you choose to forget that all physical adventures are really spiritual adventures.

Everything makes you more,

Healing

I radiate health in mind, body and spirit.

I may feel insignificant as I gaze at the vast expanse of a star-filled night or reflect upon the beauty and immensity of creation. But I, too, am a magnificently created expression of life. Each cell of my body is a universe of divine life and intelligence.

Although my well-being is enhanced by what I take into my body, healing is generated from the inside out. I turn within in prayer and meditation to affirm my health and wholeness at a cellular level. I cease all concern about what could be wrong with my body and affirm the renewal of vibrant life within me. As I hold a vision of myself radiant with life, I claim my true identity as a whole and healthy creation of God.

Then your light shall break forth like the dawn, and your healing shall spring up quickly. --Isaiah 58:8

Faith

I choose to live by faith.

I understand many things in life intellectually or because my senses prove them to be true. Other things I know intuitively, but cannot prove; I accept them on faith. When I plant seeds, I have faith they will produce the desired fruit, flower or vegetable. When I am confused about the direction of my life, I have faith that the wisdom of God is my guiding principle, leading me along the path toward my highest good.

I have faith that I am one with God and that wherever I am, whatever I am doing, my center is the Divine within--a center of love, peace and harmony. I choose to live by faith, and I am calm, confident and at peace.

For truly I tell you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, "Move from here to there," and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.--Matthew 17:20

Uniqueness

I am blessed on my life's path and guided to right outcomes.

The path I walk may have been cleared by others who have traveled before me, but it is new to me and uniquely my own. Every footstep, action and decision I make leaves its own special mark.

As I move through my life, I am continually aware of the presence of God within and around me--guiding me to my unique destination and outcome. I work in tandem with God to be a divine expression in my own way.

I appreciate the unique qualities that every person has to share with the world. We all have journeys to travel, individual and collective contributions to make, and one-of-a-kind purposes to fulfill. The spirit of God within guides us forward in truth and love.

Finally, all of you, have unity of spirit, sympathy, love for one another, a tender heart, and a humble mind.--1 Peter 3:8

Promise

Today holds great promise.

Each day holds great promise and endless possibilities. Perhaps I'll make a new friend or be inspired to write a poem or create a work of art. Maybe a prayer will be answered, harmony and peace will come to a troubled relationship, or an insight will become clear to me today.

When I open to the surprises and delights of each new day, I let go of limited or rigid expectations. If something doesn't turn out exactly as I planned, I open to what is. God is present in me, and all is well.

I am present to life as it unfolds. I trust in God and appreciate both the small and large blessings that each day holds. I eagerly await life's surprises.

O Lord of hosts, happy is everyone who trusts in you. --Psalm 84:12

Gentleness

With a gentle spirit, I care for myself and others.

When I hold a newborn baby, I am gentle and caring. This new life is fragile and should be lovingly cared for. The same principle applies to myself and to others.

Today I focus on being gentle and kind. I am mindful of words and behaviors that might be rude or critical. In my interactions with others, I speak lovingly and quietly. I treat others with dignity and respect.

I am gentle with myself also. I slow my pace and take time to breathe. I walk with an ease of spirit and an awareness of God. I release worry or anxiety and see myself in a positive way. As I am gentle with myself and others, I find that my thoughts are peaceful and my life flows smoothly.

To speak evil of no one … to be gentle, and to show every courtesy to everyone.--Titus 3:2

Circulate

I give and receive in absolute faith.

The divine law of giving and receiving is as natural as gravity. I don't question why my feet stay firmly planted on the ground. I simply trust in gravity, for I know it works.

The same holds true concerning giving and receiving. It is in giving that I receive. My life is open to the flow of divine blessings, and in that flow, I am able to give even more. I give unreservedly.

I recognize God as the Source of my supply. As I have freely received from the continuous flow of divine love and substance, I also freely give and keep the blessings circulating.

I am filled with a giving and grateful spirit, knowing that my positive prayers and actions will bless others as well as myself.

The measure you give will be the measure you get, and still more will be given you.--Mark 4:24

Safe

I turn my thoughts to God and know that I am safe.

One can scarcely imagine the faith and courage of the early explorers as they acted on their convictions and set sail into uncharted territory.

When I feel divinely inspired to adventure into new places or situations, I pray and trust my intuition. I turn my thoughts to God and know that I am safe. I gather information and plan as I am led, and I move forward. Challenges may arise, but no problem is greater than God.

The presence of God in me will see me safely through whatever obstacles appear on my path. I remain in right relationship with God, attuned to my inner wisdom, and I journey safely through each new adventure.

The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run into it and are safe.--Proverbs 18:10

Guidance

Spirit leads me on a level path to my highest good.

When life seems to be an uphill battle, I pause, rest and seek inner guidance. On every mile of my journey, over rocky hills or through lush green valleys, Spirit is with me and within me. While I may only be able to see a few steps ahead, Spirit has the greater perspective and knows the way. Indeed, the Spirit of God knows what I need before I even ask.

Once I have made the decision to move forward, I begin to look beyond the roadblocks and notice the divine detours. If an obstacle persists, I stop and give thanks for the solution that is already unfolding. I open myself to inspiration and inner guidance. I walk a level path to my highest good.

Let your good spirit lead me on a level path.--Psalm 143:10

Prosperity

I give generously and receive abundantly.

God is the great divine energy present everywhere. As a creation of God, I am immersed in and part of that energy. It is in giving generously and receiving fully that I connect with the God-energy in me. When I act thoughtfully towards another, I receive thoughtfulness in return. As I give love to others, I feel more fully loved. As I circulate my financial resources with joy and gratitude, I find that my life is richly blessed with experiences and sustenance that bring me even greater joy.

I give thanks for friends and loved ones, for joyful activities and for all the good that life offers. I give generously, receive abundantly and my life is truly blessed.
But strive first for the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.--Matthew 6:33

Inner Peace

In the silence, I touch the presence of God within and find perfect peace.

At times I may feel spiritually disconnected. Although I know this is not the truth of my being, I may be struggling to find my peace. If so, I become aware of any inner turmoil and accept it as part of my journey. I allow the presence of God to enter into my awareness in prayer.

In the silence, I reconnect with God within. I am at one with my higher power, and I feel peace washing over me. These quiet moments help me "plug in" and feel the presence of God in profound ways.

Once I have recharged and rediscovered God's peace within me, I am ready to bring that peace into my daily life. I think, speak and act in ways that radiate peace.
Now, O my God, let your eyes be open and your ears attentive to prayer from this place.--2 Chronicles 6:40

Comfort

I am comforted in the presence of God.

Fear and anxiety can create in me a kind of spiritual amnesia. I might fear that I have been abandoned or believe I must do everything by myself.

To counteract these feelings, I gently redirect myself and remember that I am never alone, because wherever I am, God is. God is a living, loving presence, with me at all times and in all places. Right here, right now, I am one with Spirit.

No matter the situation, I am comforted as I relax, breathe and connect with the presence of God within me. I feel this Presence in my heartbeat, in my breath and throughout my body. As I am calmed, I feel the blessing of God filling my body, mind and soul.
Then Jacob woke from his sleep and said, "Surely the Lord is in this place--and I did not know it!"--Genesis 28:16

Free

I am free and unlimited.

From time to time, I may find that I've fallen into a rut--driving the same route to work, eating the same thing for lunch, participating in the same activities day after day. Tuning in to Spirit, I become aware of a new way of being, a new point of view. In Spirit, I see unlimited potential. There are many paths, and I am free to choose which route I will take.

Perhaps I will try a new recipe. I might take a class or explore a new hobby; take the scenic route to work or read poetry instead of fiction. Each day I open my heart and mind to creative options that reveal the surprise and mystery of life. I am free and unlimited. The entire world is open to me.

Energized

I am energized and rejuvenated.

Each morning when I awake, I have the opportunity to start my day with prayer. Aware of my innate creative power, I am invigorated by Spirit within. I then move ahead empowered, choosing uplifting thoughts, positive statements and purposeful actions that reflect my greatest intentions.

If ever I feel sluggish or unmotivated, I pause and pray. A few minutes of communion with Spirit revives my vital energy and awakens my enthusiasm. In Spirit, I am confident, knowing that all things given to me will be accomplished, that all that is not understood will be revealed, and that all that is difficult will be made easy.

The God who has girded me with strength has opened wide my path. --2 Samuel 22:33

Let Go, Let God

I release my concerns, certain of God's good.

Release is an act of confidence, not failure. In times of stress, I take a moment to find the gentle rhythm of my breath. If I feel tension, I relax my body and allow my mind to experience a moment of peace.

I breathe in and out with quiet awareness. On my outward breaths, I release one by one each concern for my life and the lives of my loved ones. On my inward breaths, I accept the assurance of right outcomes. I let go of my need to control and to know how everything will unfold. New ideas and insights are revealed in divine time and order.

I trust in God--the Infinite Source of healing and resolution. I will know what is mine to do, when it is time.

The Lord is good to all, and his compassion is over all that he has made. --Psalm 145:9

Worry-Free

I release every concern and move forward with faith in God.

How often have I spent precious moments of my time worrying about something that never came to be? Worry is a conscious choice, but is it a constructive way to spend my day?

Today I choose to refrain from worry and live in faith. Faith is the opposite of worry for faith allows me to let go of what is troubling me and release it to God. Through faith in God, I experience the joy of the present moment. Through faith in God, I am free from stress or concern.

I cannot predict what will happen to me or my loved ones on any given day, but I can make the choice to be positive and worry-free. By doing so, I move forward in faith, living in the moment and trusting God for right outcomes.

Therefore I tell you, do not worry.--Matthew 6:25

Refresh

I am refreshed and renewed in mind, body and spirit.

When I think of my health and the way I approach it, I ask myself if I am doing all I need to do to be healthy, whole and well. If I feel I can do more, I take this opportunity to refresh and perhaps adopt new healthy habits.

I may begin by spending more time in prayer and meditation, visualizing my body as a holy temple filled with divine, renewing life. I may start an exercise regimen that helps me get in tune with my body. I may try new, more healthful ways to prepare my food.

Of the many healthy practices available to me, I follow my inner guidance and find which ones are right for me. I am refreshed and renewed in mind, body and spirit.

Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, which you have from God?--1 Corinthians 6:19

Turning Points

God is always with me.

I have been through turning points in my life--times in which I overcame fear, changed my way of thinking, or found inner reserves of courage and strength. As I look back on these times, I realize I was never alone; God was with me as a guiding hand, a comforting presence and a strengthening power. This gives me comfort and peace.

I give thanks for the turning points in my life, for through them, I have emerged stronger and wiser. I have been blessed with new ideas and attitudes, new ways of seeing the world around me and the people in it. What a blessing to know that God is with me in these moments and in every moment of my life!

You have stripped off the old self with its practices and have clothed yourselves with the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge according to the image of its creator.--Colossians 3:9-10

Giving

I give with joy and delight.

Opportunities to give are plentiful. I am filled with joy each time I act on one of those opportunities. Giving my time, talent or treasure is not a burden. I do not give out of obligation. I give with love and without hesitation. I give with joy and delight, simply because I want to contribute.

How and what will I give today? I may call to encourage a friend, take treats to my co-workers, change a flat tire for a stranger, volunteer or donate to a charity, or give back to an organization that feeds me spiritually.

At the close of the day as I count my blessings, I smile as I recall how I gave of myself today. My reward is the joy in my heart that comes from giving.

Each of you must give as you have made up your mind, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.--2 Corinthians 9:7

Resilience

I have the resolve and resilience to do what is mine to do.

Although difficult circumstances come my way from time to time, I know better than to let outer situations get the best of me. I remember that wherever I am, God is and always will be.

A child learning to walk will fall on occasion, but he will also get up and try again. The child gets stronger and steadier with every try, and eventually walks without effort. Like that child, I have an inner resilience. If I stumble occasionally, I learn and grow from any seeming mistakes or missteps.

I have the inner strength to bounce back from any challenge. Knowing this, I move through my day with confidence and flexibility. I have the inner resolve and resilience to do whatever is mine to do.

Keep alert, stand firm in your faith, be courageous, be strong.--1 Corinthians 16:13

Pray for Others

I pray for others, holding to the vision of their wholeness.

When I see others moving through painful experiences, my heart is touched and I want to love and support them. Though I may or may not be able to take immediate action, I make a meaningful contribution through prayer. I seek Spirit's guidance in seeing beyond any problem to the Truth that lies within.

God is greater than any situation. I need not pray from a place of fear; the loving power of God is at work. As I allow the spirit of God to transform my heart and mind, I know that healing has already begun. I feel strengthened as I pray for others, and they are strengthened as I pray with them, holding to the vision of their wholeness.

Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness …that very Spirit intercedes with sighs too deep for words.--Romans 8:26

Inner Peace

I am calm and serene.

Nothing can disturb me without my permission. For that reason, I begin my day with a choice for peace. Regardless of external events, the length or urgency of my to-do list, or the activity of my busy mind, I find peace within.

As I become quiet, aware of Spirit, and aware of my own thoughts and emotions, I am not sidetracked by any rash reaction to turmoil. I focus my attention on my breathing, close my eyes and envision the tranquility of Spirit. I am calm as I make a few simple choices for peace: I smile; I turn the television off; I shut down the computer.

A few moments in prayer or meditation attune me to the serenity within. In Spirit, I am calm, serene and undisturbed.

Attention

I notice the good within and around me, and I am blessed.

I create my experiences by what I choose to give my attention to. A Unity principle states it this way: "Thoughts held in mind produce after their kind." Holding positive thoughts and releasing negative ones is a powerful way to create the life I desire.

I am one with God, and in this oneness I co-create a life that blesses me and others. I focus on my strengths and divine faculties. With each positive thought I become more aware of the creative power within me.

I live life with intention and seek companions who are joyful and uplifting. I pay attention to the beauty of the world around me. I choose to believe in goodness and love. As I take notice of the good within and around me, my life is blessed.

The measure you give will be the measure you get back.--Luke 6:38

No Regrets

I love the life I live now.

To live without regrets requires the discipline of awareness, the compassion to forgive and the courage to change. I am aware of my true nature--that I am a spiritual being, loved and guided by the Divine Infinite. Anytime I feel I have failed to be my best self, I remember that I am learning to live and love at the highest level of my soul's wisdom. I ask Spirit to reveal what I might change to move closer to being my best self. I then ask for the courage to make that change.

Knowing I am doing my best, I have compassion for myself. As I learn to forgive myself, I find it easier to forgive others. I am at peace with the path that has brought me to this place of understanding. I have no regrets, and I love the life I live now.

For once you were darkness, but now in the Lord you are light. Live as children of light.--Ephesians 5:8

Intention

With determination and faith, I create a life I love.

What is my intention today? What do I want to feel and experience over the next 24 hours? As I begin to probe these questions, I connect with Spirit in oneness and gratitude. I visualize the day ahead--who will I see and what actions will I take? Then I consider what qualities I will demonstrate and what attitude I will hold. Will I be patient, adventurous, loving?

Life is made up of the choices I make, the love I give and receive, and the faith I hold every moment of every day. If I have been waiting for "someday" to come, I stop waiting and make the decision to live fully and freely right now. I set the intention to live a life I love--and I start today.

Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. --Psalm 119:105

Faith

My faith in God gives me strength and confidence.

How do I define my faith in God? Do I see it as a strengthening power, a guiding presence, an all-knowing assurance? Perhaps it is all of these things and more. My faith in God is a significant part of my life. Through my faith, I have the confidence to do more and be more; I am revitalized in mind and body; and I am uplifted and strengthened in countless ways.

Through my faith, I feel my connection with the uplifting, unlimited presence of God that unites all people and all life as one. Knowing this presence is at work within me and within all living things fills me with a sense of belonging. I know, deep in my heart, that with God I can do and be all that I am meant to.

Let Go, Let God

As I let go and let God, I am at peace.

Just as winter gives way to spring, and spring gives way to summer, I release the seasons of my life that have come before. Whatever my experiences, God will use them for good. God is always with me and within me, calling me to new growth and new life. As I let go of the past, I answer God's call and open to my highest good.

Today is the start of a new season, externally and internally. In this new season, I meet my good. Through meditation and prayer, I open to God's wisdom within me. I let God guide me, moment by moment, to wholeness, love and abundance. No longer am I bound by the past; I let go and let God. I am at peace with the present moment, and I am free!

Agree with God, and be at peace; in this way good will come to you. --Job 22:21

Take Charge

With Spirit as my guide, I take charge of my life.

I have all I need to create the life I desire through the power and guidance of Spirit within me. I take charge of my health by first affirming the truth of my being: I am whole and perfect, physically and spiritually beautiful. Next I take action in support of this truth by getting sufficient rest, exercising, and eating a balanced diet.

I take charge of my attitude by associating with people who are positive and uplifting and by looking for the best in myself and others. I take charge of my success by accepting responsibility for my life and acting upon the wisdom of Spirit within me.

I take charge of my life by using the gifts of Spirit in life-enhancing ways. Spirit is my guide as I create the life I desire.

Flexible

I experience the fullness of life.

Because I am flexible, I never give up on myself or my dreams. When a change seems to alter my plans, I don't give in to feelings of helplessness or hopelessness. My divine purpose is to be creative and to find fulfillment in whatever I am doing.

Any tendency to be rigid in my thinking falls away as I welcome divine ideas into my awareness. There is more than one way to the fulfillment of my heart's desires. A whole new world of possibilities is open to me.

Pressures or fears may threaten to derail my dreams; however, I am a spiritual being and I do not veer off the course on which Spirit is leading me. I eagerly move forward and experience the fullness of life with flexibility and the expectancy of good.

I can do all things through him who strengthens me.--Philippians 4:13

Harmony

I connect with others in harmony and in love.

My connection with family and friends gives me a sense of belonging. We are in each other's lives for a reason. We learn from one another, and we share our love, support and appreciation for each other.

Just as musical notes balance each other in harmony, so do we balance one another as we move in accord. While each person is unique, his or her gifts, talents and personal experiences complement those of others.

I am also part of a universal family, the family of all humanity. Opportunities abound for cooperation and understanding among all people. As others come into my awareness, I look for and find the good in each one. I reach out with support and appreciation, in love and in harmony.

Whenever we have an opportunity, let us work for the good of all.--Galatians 6:10

Power of God

I use God's power for good in my life and in the world.

The power of God is within me. It sustains, protects and expresses through all I think, say and do. The more I recognize and acknowledge the power of God, the more I use it with intention.

I align with God through my conscious awareness, and I experience a comfortable flow and order in my life. Stress subsides and stamina increases--I live more fully.

I use the power of God for good in my life. With each interaction, task or activity, I am a channel through which goodness flows. Reaching out to people with kindness and helpfulness, I let God's light shine in and through me to bless the world.

You are the God who works wonders; you have displayed your might among the peoples. --Psalm 77:14

Free

I am free to be joyful, playful and loving.

Some may wait for the end of the school year, the end of a work week, or the end of a project to feel free. I am not bound by any circumstance, pattern or habit in my outer conditions; I am free always!

Today I choose to be joyful, playful and loving. I am not limited by location, schedule, day or habit. Nothing has the power to limit my ability to enjoy this day. When I choose to be joyful, I call forth the joy that is within me and I express it. Choosing to be playful, I allow the flow of creativity to enliven the simple activities of my day. I give love by sharing smiles and laughter with those around me.

Nothing limits my ability to choose my attitude. Acting from that freedom, I choose to be joyful, playful and loving.

Words

I speak words of peace, inspiration and hope.

The words I speak or write contain immense creative power. When I confidently state my goals or intentions, I set in motion ideas that have the power to manifest in my life. At the same time, sharing uplifting words has a positive impact on others. Words of kindness and caring create a healing and nurturing environment.

Because the words I use have such power, I choose them carefully, taking time in prayer before speaking or writing them. My words create peace where there was discord, inspiration where there was apathy, and hope where there was despair. Guided by Spirit, I share words that bless and uplift.

So shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose. --Isaiah 55:11

Let Go, Let God

I let go of concern and let God be God in my life.

Sometimes life events lead to anxiety and worry. When I feel anxious, I take a moment to remember I am not alone. Whether I have a difficult decision to make, a challenge that seems overwhelming, or even a small matter that confuses me, I can take any issue into prayer.

Spirit works in unknowable ways. So in prayer, I let go of trying to control every outcome. I release my need to micromanage every detail. I gratefully acknowledge that all is working for good. I listen for guidance and prayerfully give thanks as I receive it. Releasing my concerns, I let God be God in my life, and then I do what is mine to do.

You shall eat the fruit of the labor of your hands; you shall be happy, and it shall go well with you. --Psalm 128:2

Thankfulness

I am gratitude in action!

True thankfulness is a state of being--a state created by my thoughts, words and actions. A word of kindness and support, a smile shared or a note of appreciation can positively influence those around me. My own life is improved as well.

If I look closely, I find so much to be thankful for. By developing the practice of recognizing my blessings, I become gratitude in action. I feel gratitude most deeply in prayer and meditation, giving thanks for the divine nature at the center of my being. This deep sense of gratitude changes me. I am grateful for life, for the love of those around me, for the abundance that sustains me, and for the lessons life offers me. Grateful to God and thankful for others, I become thankfulness itself--I am gratitude in action!

Be thankful.--Colossians 3:15

Stress-Free

I attune my soul to the melody of Spirit, and I am stress-free.

The strings of a cello, guitar or harp can make no music without tension--but when too much pressure is applied, the sound is off key and the strings may even break. With the proper tuning, however, the same strings can produce beautiful music.

Like the strings of an instrument, if the pressures of my family or workplace are high, I can experience stress. This provides an opportunity for growth and awareness. I turn within, breathe deeply, and attune my soul to the melody of Spirit. The stress is relieved.

Bringing my heart, mind and body back into harmony, I once again vibrate with positive energy. Attuned to Spirit, I resonate with the "music of the spheres."

I will incline my ear to a proverb; I will solve my riddle to the music of the harp. --Psalm 49:4

Expanded View

I am open and willing to change my mind.

When I expand my mind, my heart follows. Expansion occurs when I open to a new thought or idea, or when I allow a question to attract an unexpected answer. If my mind is closed, I cannot effect change in the world. If I am entrenched in my beliefs, certain that I know the way, I am not able to see what is possible.

As I release limited thinking and invite Spirit to transform my mind, I see the world in its infinite possibility. It is like opening a magnificent gift. I see life anew and my defenses drop. I become open and willing to hear another point of view.

When my mind is open, the light of Spirit enters in. I anticipate and invite only my highest good, and I am richly blessed.

But blessed are your eyes, for they see, and your ears, for they hear.--Matthew 13:16

Creativity

I allow creativity to express through me.

According to legend, Michelangelo insisted that his part in creating David--his masterpiece of sculpture--was only to carefully chip away at the marble, uncovering the David that lay within. Within me there is also a masterpiece awaiting expression. As I chip away at limiting thoughts that hinder my creativity, beauty and innovation flow forth.

Something within me is waiting to emerge. During my prayer time I listen for what is seeking expression; then I joyfully engage with whatever surfaces. Creativity takes many forms: writing, music, art, dance, business ventures and inventions. The possibilities are limitless. As I quiet my inner critic, I invite my creativity to come alive and I create my masterpiece.

Everything created by God is good.--1 Timothy 4:4

Doors

I confidently open the door to my good.

Adoor can be a symbol either of freedom or of bondage, depending upon my viewpoint. Some closed doors are opened with the turn of a doorknob, others must be opened with a key, while others require only a push.

When a door appears closed, some action on my part may be necessary. Faith may be needed to turn the knob; prayer may be the key to unlock the door; willingness and persistence may supply the push to open it.

A door is a meaningful symbol, for it represents both leaving and entering. Some doors lead away from a phase of my life that is complete. Through others I enter a new phase or untried path. Today I confidently open the door to my good.

Look, I have set before you an open door, which no one is able to shut.--Revelation 3:8

Guidance

In the quiet, I am aware of divine possibilities.

Whether I call it intuition or insight, inner knowing emanates from the spirit of God within me. I know the right action to take and when to take no action at all as I remain open to Spirit for guidance and illumination.

Clearing my mind of any uncertainty about what I can do, I open myself to what God's Presence can do through me. In quiet times of prayer, I receive divinely inspired direction. Free of any doubt or fear, I let divine possibilities flow into my conscious awareness.

Through prayer and meditation, I become attentive to the still small voice of intuition, the "inner teaching" of Spirit. I know when to speak and act and when to be still.

After he had dismissed the crowds, he went up the mountain by himself to pray.--Matthew 14:23

Faith

I am strong, positive and powerful.

Every person has a purpose. I may discover mine when I am troubled by a situation and feel called to be part of the solution. The path may not be perfectly clear; I may not know what action to take. Nevertheless, I begin right where I am. I trust my inner wisdom to show me the way.

Rather than worry about making a mistake, I pray and take one small step. I trust that God will place a lamp before my feet, guiding me as I go.

As I give of myself in sacred service, everything I need is provided. I joyfully do what is mine to do. My faith grows even deeper as I give from my abundance. As I step out in faith, I am strong, positive and powerful.

You see that faith was active along with his works.--James 2:22

Unfoldment

I claim God's good for me, and I bring my dreams to fruition.

Right now, I am perfectly poised to apply my talents and experience in new ways. I am blossoming, becoming the person I am meant to be. This is my time to stretch, grow and create the life I want. Regardless of my age or circumstances, divine power and potential are within me. I boldly move forward to accomplish lifelong aspirations.

Perhaps I have dreamt of writing a novel, traveling the world, creating a charitable foundation, mastering a new sport or playing a musical instrument. My destiny is mine to choose and mine to create. Now is the time to take action.

Like a flower stretching to the sun I reach out and open myself to God's good.

You may lead lives worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him, as you bear fruit in every good work and as you grow in the knowledge of God.--Colossians 1:10

Let Go, Let God

I let go and trust the indwelling Spirit to bless and fulfill me.

The wisdom of God is within me. With divine wisdom, I have the power to make wise and right judgments. I let go of that which no longer serves me and treasure the blessings that fill my life with good.

I embrace supportive people, inspiring places and productive ideas. I let go of thoughts, beliefs and situations that are not in my best interest, that tear down rather than uplift.

I release any perceived power I may have given to people or situations outside me. As I pray, I rejoice in the truth that God is my indwelling power. I let go and trust God to bless and fulfill my life. My mind, heart and life are guided by the wisdom of God and filled with abundant treasures.

For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.--Matthew 6:21

Protected

I am strengthened by my foundation of faith.

Even in the midst of a storm, I know God is with me. I affirm, "I am never alone. I am fully protected. I am safe." My faith is strong, because of the foundation I have laid.

When winds were calm, I strengthened my faith with prayer, gratitude and meditation. Like a builder, I laid a foundation of faith deep within myself--and then I built on it.

Putting God's truth into practice daily has strengthened my faith. When a storm or crisis hits, I have an inner knowing that all is well. I have experienced God's loving and peaceful presence. God is with me, and I am always protected.

That one is like a man building a house, who dug deeply and laid the foundation on rock; when a flood arose, the river burst against that house but could not shake it, because it had been well built.--Luke 6:48

Divine Order

I align with Divine Mind and live in harmony with divine order.

During a busy day, my thoughts may seem scattered. I may be tempted to put more faith in what I perceive around me than I do in the kingdom of God within me. When confronted with inner distractions and outer influences, I focus my attention on the present moment and allow Divine Intelligence to rule.

No longer do my thoughts run to and fro. In alignment with Divine Mind, my thinking is ordered and clear. Because I seek first the kingdom of God, all else follows in divine order. My thoughts are inspired. I feel a sense of joy and ease as outer things fall effortlessly into place. Guided by Divine Mind, my outer life reflects the divine order within.

When a land rebels it has many rulers; but with an intelligent ruler there is lasting order. --Proverbs 28:2

Comfort

I am comforted by the awareness of God's presence.

Like the comfort I feel from the warmth of a fire on a cold winter day, I feel comfort in allowing the peace and love of God to calm and comfort me. There is but one Presence, one Power and one Love. And that love lives in me. Life situations are temporary. The love of God is eternal.

I see the love of God revealed in myriad ways. I see it in nature as earth recovers and regenerates after a natural disaster. I find it revealed through the inspiration of sacred writings, poetry and song. I witness it in everyday acts of kindness and compassion.

No matter what I may be facing today, I am forever sustained by the love of God.

Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I fear no evil; for you are with me.--Psalm 23:4

Illumination

The light of God guides my way.

Light in the outer world changes and shifts. A cloudy day appears dim; a moonless night appears dark. But within my own soul, the light of God is eternal. There is no darkness in the presence of God's light. Divine light illuminates my thoughts, revealing guidance when I am uncertain and understanding when I am confused. In the light of God, I find ways to forgive and new ways to serve my beloved community.

My illumination may come slowly or in a flash; yet the light of God is full and complete. What I could not see before is now clear. What I could not know is now certain. I go forward in confidence knowing the light of God guides my way.

Indeed, you are my lamp, O Lord, the Lord lightens my darkness. --2 Samuel 22:29

Leadership

Inspired by others, I am a leader of my own life.

There are many who express the gift of leadership by sharing courageous ideas in compelling and inspiring ways. They demonstrate integrity, intelligence, creativity, enthusiasm and humility. I learn from all leaders, past and present, and I appreciate their insight and example.

From the wisdom of leaders and from my prayer work, I am inspired to lead my life well. I look to the inner guidance of Spirit, which helps me make wise decisions. As I pray and meditate, I listen for God's "still small voice." With spiritual understanding and good judgment, I determine my next steps. For the guidance of God, and for the leaders in my life, I am truly grateful.

O send out your light and your truth; let them lead me.--Psalm 43:3

Grace

The grace of God has prepared for me a life that is good.

The grace of God is not something that must be earned by sacrifice or penance. It is a free and impartial gift from God that no one can escape.

The grace of God is more than mercy. It is complete forgiveness and full, unbounded love. It offers redemption from thoughts of lack and limitation to every person who will accept it. Grace reveals the true nature of God's presence within us and quickens in us a realization of our innate divinity.

Abiding under divine grace, I am spiritually secure. My steady, unimpeded progress toward the fullness of life and all good is assured. The grace of God opens to me the swift and glorious way of Truth.

For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God.--Ephesians 2:8

Pray for Others

I affirm the unfolding of your highest good.

Before I pray for others, I enter into prayer for myself. Prayer is the means by which I become conscious of my oneness with God. In prayer, I join myself in consciousness with God, the Good, and realize our communion. From this space of oneness, I perceive the divinity of all life. I behold the heart of another and surround that individual with joy, peace and wholeness.

When in prayer for others, I do not impose my ideas on the course of their lives but trust in divine order. Focused on wisdom and grace, I affirm the unfolding of their highest good. I see them radiating God's loving light as it shines in, through and as them. I release all expectations, and have faith in the right and perfect outcome.

All who believed were together and had all things in common.--Acts 2:44

Positivity

I choose to look at life in a positive, new way.

My attitude has a powerful influence on my daily life. It affects my relationships and the outcomes I experience. I choose to embrace this God-given day with a positive attitude.

Perhaps the most important thing about my attitude is my ability to manage it. I have power over my thoughts and actions. I can choose to hold a positive attitude rather than a negative one. I can choose to face the day with inner strength and confidence in my abilities. I can choose to hold life-affirming thoughts that lead me to my highest good.

Today I choose to have a positive attitude and look at my life in a new way. With this attitude, I receive bountiful blessings.

This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.--Psalm 118:24

Free

Centered in Spirit, I am free.

In the midst of a health challenge or a troubled relationship, I may feel limited, burdened or out of control. These situations, however, give me a chance to consider another way.

When I remain centered in Truth, the love of Spirit flows through me, healing my body, easing my mind, and quieting my heart. I do not focus on "can't," "shouldn't" or "won't." Through the lens of Truth, I see possibilities; limitations fall away.

What I previously viewed as lack or impossibility no longer seems so. I am free to make choices and decisions that support my highest good. I soar, unencumbered by fear, worry, doubt or regret. I am free. Joy fills my soul and blesses my heart.

You were called to freedom, brothers and sisters.--Galatians 5:13

Clarity

My mind is clear; my heart is open. I am at peace.

When I sense that my thoughts are turbulent and unfocused, I am best served by closing my eyes and taking a few moments to catch my breath. With each deep breath, my thoughts begin to clear. I soak in the love and peace of God. I take in this moment of serenity. As my mind stills and calms, I ask for guidance and direction, and I experience the fog lifting.

With a clear mind and heart, I make myself available to divine guidance. I no longer strain to find the answers, but rather allow them to surface in my mind and heart. What I need to know comes clearly into my awareness. Peace settles in and wisdom is revealed. I know what direction to take, and I take it.

Seek the Lord and his strength, seek his presence continually.--1 Chronicles 16:11

Strength

Aligned with Divine Mind, I am strengthened.

The mind of God is the composite of all good thoughts. I am strengthened as I align my thoughts with Divine Mind. I begin with a time of prayer, acknowledging that God and I are one. I accept that all the strength I need is already within me.

If I notice an area of my life that does not appear to be working, I pause to examine my thoughts. Do they reflect the truth of God in me? Am I centered in Divine Presence? Gently correcting any misalignment, I feel the strength of God surge through me once more.

In faith, my mind is lifted to the realm of Divine Mind. From here I receive strength. It may come in the form of mental, physical and spiritual strength, and I rely on it to fill every need.

In quietness and in trust shall be your strength.--Isaiah 30:15

Perspective

I see life from a spiritual perspective.

In some photographs, perspective influences the relationship between two objects. A person close to the camera may appear larger than a tree off in the distance.

When I face a difficulty, it may also seem out of proportion to the good in my life. Placing a challenge in proper perspective, however, I see that I have all I need to face the situation confidently. The spirit of God is powerful in me and is more than enough to overcome any circumstance.

My difficulties shrink in proportion to my faith in God. The more I trust in God, the greater my confidence. What seemed a great challenge diminishes as I see my life from a spiritual perspective.

Guidance

Spirit guides my way. I know what to do and when to do it.

The spirit of God sustains my being, stirs my soul and speaks to me in quiet ways. Whenever I seek guidance about a decision, I prepare myself to receive direction by releasing any concerns or worry. I open myself to the peace of God and trust that the answers will come.

Inner guidance is revealed to me through my feelings and my awareness, and through information that flows to me without straining or striving. It comes in unmistakable, irresistible ways; it comes with an assurance I recognize and trust. Divine guidance comes with a feeling of peace, clarity and direction.

With Spirit guiding my way, I am free to live life with confidence. I know what to do and when to do it.

If we live by the Spirit, let us also be guided by the Spirit.--Galatians 5:25

Dream

I proceed confidently in the direction of my dreams.

In my heart lives my personal dream. My heart sings and my eyes light up just thinking about it. If current circumstances are less than I desire, I declare this moment a turning point and turn to God in prayer. I envision myself with the freedom, resources and God-given abilities to achieve my goals. With God as my guide, I proceed confidently toward my dreams.

Reaching beyond myself, I imagine every person free to pursue and achieve his or her dreams. Our dreams come from God as does the help we need to achieve them. I pray that all people feel their direct connection to God and realize the potential for happiness inherent within them.

For surely I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans for your welfare and not for harm, to give you a future with hope.--Jeremiah 29:11

Prosperity

I claim my good. The Universe is boundless!

I give thanks for the beauty and bounty of Earth, for the variety of life it sustains and for our planet's capacity to replenish and rejuvenate itself.

A basic spiritual principle states that good is everywhere present, and everywhere I look, I see this is true. One person smiles at a friend, and the friend smiles back. A customer exchanges money for goods; the customer prospers, the cashier prospers, and the shop owner prospers. A child invites another to play with his or her toys, and both children have more fun.

As I give to others, I open the way to greater blessings through the principles of Spirit. The Universe is boundless, and I claim and contribute to my good now.

This grace was given to me to bring ... the news of the boundless riches of Christ.--Ephesians 3:8

Grace

I am gently supported by the grace of God.

Grace moves in and through my life. It is invisible and mysterious, yet ever present. In times of need I may resist inner guidance and find myself struggling to make progress. Whatever the need, when I turn within to the indwelling presence of God, I know that through grace, I will receive the answer.

Grace gently corrects my course and allows me to overcome any troubles. Even in the stormiest of times, I can be lifted above the gusty winds on a gentle current of air that carries me forward.

Grace is divine favor offered unconditionally. It is life-giving and ever present. The grace of God inspires, empowers and propels me toward my most heartfelt desires.

From his fullness we have all received, grace upon grace.--John 1:16

Ready

I release and let go, ready to make the most of this present moment.

As I reflect on the events of the past year, I recognize successes and failures, gains and losses. Each event has taught me something and made me wiser. Knowing this, I acknowledge and release the past year in gratitude.

In contemplation of the coming year, whether I am excited or apprehensive, I know the spirit of God will empower me to meet every situation with confidence and strength. With this in mind, I release any concerns I may have about the future.

Today I am ready to stand tall in this present moment. I appreciate the now, perfectly balanced between the blessings of the past and the promise of the future. This is the moment of power and action. I am ready!

He has made everything suitable for its time.--Ecclesiastes 3:11
