Gratitude - Today's Daily Word
I welcome this day with a thankful heart. Beginning my morning in this way cultivates an attitude of gratitude not only for special occasions but for every day.
As I arise from a peaceful night, I give thanks to God for rest received and for blessings to come. This sets a positive tone, one that attracts life-enhancing experiences to me.
Sharing a simple "thank you" with others generates good feelings. My gratefulness is contagious and becomes a positive, attitude-changing influence.
At the close of the day, I again express my gratitude to God. I give thanks for the kind thoughts of others, an inspiring sunset, and happy times spent with family and friends. And most of all, I give thanks for the constant flow of God's good in my life.
"For everything created by God is good, and nothing is to be rejected, provided it is received with thanksgiving."--1 Timothy 4:4
Listen - Today's Daily Word
During this season, I may have heard joy-filled carolers, the beckoning of bell ringers, or the crunch of an icy snow's surface as I stepped through it. Excited shouts of children, bustling activity of shoppers, and appreciation of volunteers all echoed in the air as I made my holiday rounds.
But there is also a deeper, inner listening that exists. Scripture tells of how Joseph listened to the warning of the angel that appeared to him in a dream. He then took the Christ Child and His mother by night, fleeing to Egypt for safety.
My own heart and soul become attuned to spiritual guidance. In prayer, meditation, or with my own intuition, I pause and know what I am to do. For the good of myself, those near to me, and those I have yet to meet, I listen for and act on spiritual guidance.
"Take the child and his mother, and flee to Egypt, and remain there until I tell you."--Matthew 2:13

Unity - Today's Daily Word
I celebrate unity in the many forms it appears in my life and in the world: the togetherness of family and community, the harmony of individuals working for one collective purpose, or the connectedness of all humanity regardless of language, beliefs, customs, or geography.
In God there is a unity of spirit. In prayer I contemplate this oneness and experience unity with all life. In these sacred moments, I remember my unity with all humanity.
My experience of knowing my oneness with all increases as I am divinely guided to new thoughts and interactions. Being gentle and open with purpose, creativity, and faith, I help generate unity in the world.
"Lead a life worthy of the calling to which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, making every effort to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace."--Ephesians 4:1-3

Surprise -Today's Daily Word
To children, surprise may be their response to a fun party, an unexpected gift, or a new discovery. A surprise can be something fun, unforeseen, and new for me also.
At times I am so amazed by a turn of events that it leaves me feeling overjoyed and blessed. And when a situation turns out better than expected, I am delighted.
My feeling surprised about a good outcome is a kind of wake-up call for me to accept something wonderful. It jump-starts my feeling of enthusiasm for life and being thankful to God for it all.
Removing any limitations on the goodness of God, I welcome my blessings.
"All the people saw him walking and praising God, and they recognized him as the one who used to sit and ask for alms at the Beautiful Gate of the temple; and they were filled with wonder and amazement at what had happened to him."--Acts 3:9-10
Free - Today's Daily Word
Because my true nature is spiritual, I am free in mind, body, and soul. Old ways of speaking, thinking, and acting have no hold on me as I deepen my understanding of my spiritual nature and develop new practices for daily living.
Just as a document or an agreement can be edited and amended with new information, my mental and emotional framework is enhanced as I grow in spiritual understanding. Affirming a new awareness that I want to embody helps me claim my transformation.
Turning to God in prayerful meditation, I give thanks for the awareness I have and for new expressions of freedom to come. I continue to transform my life as I strengthen and deepen my awareness of the truth of my being: I am free!
"If you continue in my word, you are truly my disciples; and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free."--John 8:31-32

Protected - Today's Daily Word
If I myself or a friend or loved one is about to embark on a journey, the first line of the "Prayer for Protection" comes to mind. It helps me to remember that "The light of God surrounds us."
Recalling these words is a great source of peace to me. I know that God is all powerful and everywhere present. As I affirm my oneness with God, I feel the blessed assurance that all is well with me and with the people I pray for.
Today I hold family and loved ones--including my pets--in prayer. I see each one guided, protected, and cared for in the best possible way. It's true: God's presence lights our way every day.
"And you will have confidence, because there is hope; you will be protected and take your rest in safety."--Job 11:18
Thank You, God, for Your guiding spirit of love.
In moments of prayer with You, dear God, I am immersed in Your love. Even when situations or events seem daunting, I pray and feel the confirmation that Your loving spirit is guiding me and all others in ways of safety and peace.
Connecting with You strengthens my realization that the people I care about are also being blessed and guided by Your love. As I pray, I affirm that love surrounds, upholds, and inspires right actions and enlightened ways of thinking and being.
Thank You, God, for Your caring, guiding spirit of love within me, within those I know, and within those I have yet to meet. May we each grow in an awareness that divine love is active within us and within every person and all circumstances.
"He protected us along all the way that we went, and among all the peoples through whom we passed."--Joshua 24:17

Joy - Today's Daily Word
As I look forward to celebrating the birth of the Christ Child, I take time to deepen my understanding of this sacred event and the meaning it holds for me.
Through His life, Jesus taught about our own spiritual nature. He showed by example how to honor the Christ qualities, qualities of perfection that are inherent within all.
I embrace each of the Christ qualities of love, life, light, and peace. I ponder their meaning and the ways I can express them more fully. In Scripture, the angel's announcement of joy encourages me to explore the perfection that brings me happiness. I am open to new experiences. With enthusiasm, I celebrate and give thanks for the joy of the Christ that inspires a life of vitality, harmony, and freedom.
"The angel said to them, 'Do not be afraid; for see--I am bringing you good news of great joy for all the people.' "--Luke 2:10
Prosperity - Today's Daily Word
My life is blessed as I give and receive from the abundance of Spirit.
In the coming days, there may be several opportunities to exchange gifts with special people in my life. The gifts I've chosen and prepared reflect my love and appreciation for them. Person-to-person, I share with others from the abundance of Spirit that is freely given and gratefully received.
Presents and cards, cookies and crafts are symbols of thoughtfulness and love. But my experience of prosperity continues and extends even deeper than the objects and the symbols. As I give and receive from an awareness of God's ever-expanding abundance, my life is blessed.
The love I share, the good wishes I extend, and the satisfaction I feel heighten my appreciation for all life. As I give and receive from the heart, I am fulfilled.
"Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap."--Luke 6:38

Breakthrough - Today's Daily Word
When rays of sunlight break through the clouds on a gloomy day, it is a welcome reminder that the sun is always shining--whether I see it or not.
At times, I may feel a bit gloomy. I may have allowed myself to become so caught up in the busyness of my life that I do not see the good that is always there. When I take a break from worry and frustration, I become aware of my blessings.
And like a bright ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, I break through to the truth of my oneness with God. My breakthrough may come in reading Scripture, listening to inspirational music, a sudden insight, or an unexpected solution to a problem.
Always, I return to the understanding that God is with me and all is well.
"The unfolding of your words gives light; it imparts understanding to the simple."--Psalm 119:130
Personal Touch - Today's Daily Word
At the office, on a bus, or in a store, I may be around people without having a conversation or any other interaction with them.
Yet when I ask a coworker who seems overloaded with work if I can be of help, when I take my package off the seat next to me on the bus so someone can sit down, when I pick up groceries for a neighbor while I'm at the store, I reach out with a personal touch.
The impersonal gives way to the personal touch that flows from Spirit within. I understand that no one is meant to be a stranger in a world created by God. I recognize people as a part of my team, as fellow travelers in life, as neighbors wherever they may live.
"But a Samaritan while traveling came near him; and when he saw him, he was moved with pity. He went to him and bandaged his wounds, having poured oil and wine on them. Then he put him on his own animal, brought him to an inn, and took care of him."--Luke 10:33-34

Harmony - Today's Daily Word
All is well within my soul and my world. I may find it all too easy to become caught up in my own world, centered on my needs and desires and those of the people who are close to me. So I take time for meditative reflection and remember that we are all significant yet individual components of God's great universe.
I consider a world map, acknowledging all of the people, countries, and cultures within its scope. What makes it all work? How is it that I fit so seamlessly into such a large plan?
I fit into the world and into God's design because I am in harmony with all. I am a part of a cohesive "whole." One among billions of people, I depend on the world, and the world depends on me and each individual. I participate, contribute, and celebrate, forever in tune with divine harmony.
"The earth is the Lord's and all that is in it, the world, and those who live in it."--Psalm 24:
Light -Today's Daily Word
This is the season of light, a time when hearts are aglow. I picture the image of a light that holds my attention. It may be a streetlight with sparkling snow flurries whirling past it. Perhaps I see sunlight creating prisms on a snow's glittering surface or moonlight moving shadows across a meadow dusted in white. My image may be of a single candle lit in the window with an intention of holiness. In this stillness, I reflect upon the light. I breathe and relax. All is tranquil, prayerful.
This is a time of insight, radiance, and joy. In prayer, I give thanks in advance for love, sharing, and guidance. I realize I can let my own inner light shine out more brightly. With wisdom and kindness, I make a difference in the lives of many.
"When they had heard the king, they set out; and there, ahead of them, went the star that they had seen at its rising, until it stopped over the place where the child was."--Matthew 2:9

Forgive - Today's Daily Word
If I temporarily forget the importance of living joyously in the moment, I may feel weighed down by another's behavior or even my own. Becoming aware of the value of peace, contentment, and insight I am missing out on, I go within to the silence and receive a fresh perspective.
Centering my thoughts in prayer, I envision myself and others in the light of the truth about us. We are God's creations, blessed with love, strength, and security. There is a wealth of good in our lives. I give thanks for us all and for the lessons we have learned through our experiences together.
In prayer, I release all people, all situations into God's care. This is forgiveness through which I experience a lightheartedness and freedom beyond measure.
"Light dawns for the righteous, and joy for the upright in heart."--Psalm 97:11
Pray for Others - Today's Daily Word
When the needs of another come to my attention, I pray, affirming that help is available and answered prayer is even now evident in this person's life. In the light of understanding, I am free of any belief that might interfere with the perfect expression of health, wealth, and peace.
Through the presence of God, we each have unlimited inner resources of wisdom and strength. I acknowledge that everyone for whom I pray has the power of God within. I envision them living their lives from divine guidance and with understanding that is continually deepening.
With faith in the transformative power of God, I affirm: A perfect outcome is happening concerning your every condition and circumstance. The power of God is working wonders in your life.
"Do not fear. Only believe, and she will be saved."--Luke 8:50

Inner Peace - Today's Daily Word
When life seems hectic, it's time for me to redirect my thoughts to the presence of God within me.
To experience God's peace-giving presence, I can either take a break for a few moments in the silence or set aside a longer time for prayer. Or I may go away for a tranquil weekend of spiritual reflection and renewal.
In the stillness of these quiet times, I commune with God. God is my strength and my sustenance, and as I spend these quiet moments realizing my connection with God, peace wells up from within.
Retreating to the stillness of my soul, I experience absolute peace. I am refreshed and revitalized--ready to greet my day and the people around me with a smile on my face and joy in my heart.
"As a deer longs for flowing streams, so my soul longs for you, O God."--Psalm 42:1
Time Alone - Today's Daily Word
Being with others in an audience--watching a play or a sports event--or gathering with friends and family as we enjoy dinner or a special occasion--adds to the fun and excitement of these times. However, I also need time alone to nourish my spirit, mind, and body.
Giving myself a break from the usual routines and from ongoing holiday events and celebrations, I am physically and spiritually renewed. In the privacy of my own home or another quiet space, I spend time alone with God. Knowing the presence of God so completely in the moment, I have nothing to distract me. I am refreshed.
Coming back to be with others, I appreciate them even more. Having time alone with God gives me, and them, a fresh start.
"And after he had dismissed the crowds, he went up the mountain by himself to pray. When evening came, he was there alone."--Matthew 14:23

Grace - Today's Daily Word
A difficult situation might cause me to feel as a caged bird might feel--that there is no way out. Instead, I remember that, like the bird, I have a song in my heart. I sing a song of God's love, the source of grace that frees me from all limitations.
Grace is a precious gift from God, and it is an essential aspect of my Christ nature. During a silent moment of prayer, my heart's song helps me let go of limiting thoughts and be receptive to the freeing power of God's loving grace.
My life is a song of joy and wonder. I give thanks for the grace of God that moves me beyond any limitation that I would encounter. With gratitude, I welcome opportunities to experience new insights, greater harmony, increased vitality, and plentiful supply. Through God's grace, I am blessed.
"Each of us was given grace according to the measure of Christ's gift."--Ephesians 4:
Let Go, Let God - Today's Daily Word
Clearing negative thoughts from my mind is much like removing grime from a window. Just as washing away a film on glass allows a clearer view and welcomes the warmth of sunlight, prayer helps me gain clarity and become centered in the warmth of God's love.Removing cluttered thinking is a sure way to let go and let the love of God shine on my circumstances.
Quiet times of prayer allow me to focus on the affirmative and to be open to God's guidance. In these moments, I relax as I breathe. With each breath, I trust divine love to show me a more positive view of my life and its unfolding events. This time of release steadies me and assures me that continued, limitless blessings are mine. I let go and let God's love fill my life in marvelous ways.
"Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him, and he will act."--Psalm 37:5

Worthy - Today's Daily Word
As a creation of God, I am worthy of good. I know this is true, and I show this is true. I go about living my life fully each day by accepting my good with gratitude.
I am in awe of life in every varied form that it is expressing in my world. With reverence for all life, I am considerate and compassionate toward others and also myself.
Each creation of God is sacred and unique, so I feel no cause to compare my skills and talents with those of others. I celebrate our uniqueness and our oneness of life.
When I think about my attributes, when I look at myself in the mirror, I do so with appreciation for the wisdom of God that guides me, the love of God that inspires me, and the life of God that enlivens me.

Prepared - Today's Daily Word
On the job or at home, I am prepared for whatever it is that I am to do. I have the intelligence to know how to go about doing things that bring about the best results. I have the energy to keep on keeping on.
I am not doing anything on my own. The very life and intelligence of God are my constant, unfailing resources. I have more than confidence; I have the assurance that God is my help in every need.
I balance times of planning and doing with times of prayer and meditation. Whatever information I collect in my mind, I also need to retrieve. The more relaxed and assured I am when retrieving information, the easier it is for me to bring it forward when needed. Being prepared, I am ready to take on the day.

World Peace - Today's Daily Word
To experience peace in the world, we first know peace within ourselves. World peace emanates from our individual expressions of the love of God both internally and out into our day-to-day lives. As we allow divine love to remove all fear, we understand that peace is ours here and now.
Allowing God's peace to take hold in our hearts and our minds, we are empowered to share our gifts of peace with the world. By sharing of ourselves and listening to others, we show compassion and kindness. As we allow ourselves to accept, enjoy, and appreciate our fellow human beings, divine peace emerges from us, reaching out and expanding to all the world.

Comfort - Today's Daily Word
When I am most in need of comfort, I remember I have choices. Though honoring my feelings is important, I refrain from being consumed by negativity or sadness. I know I can cultivate a higher level of thought and action to carry me forward.
At all times my strength comes from knowing God's presence is within me. I am never separate from God. In the stillness of prayer, I give myself time to acknowledge God's precious, embracing love. Prayerful moments enable me to become calm, collected, and relaxed. I release hurt or sadness, allowing such feelings to peacefully drift away.
Divine love flows throughout my being. I feel the tender assurance that I am never alone. My heart is comforted, and I am filled with new hope.

Affirm Wholeness - Today's Daily Word
As I grow in awareness of my own spiritual wholeness, I have a desire to be of support to others. I can be a partner in healing by visiting a friend or caring for a family member. I can assist a member of my community who is in need of help. I receive a blessing from blessing others.
By offering words of encouragement or providing information on available resources, I am of valuable support. I may help with physical chores, errands, and other matters that put minds and hearts at ease.
Of course, the greatest assistance I can offer anyone is my prayerful connection with the presence of God, the essence of all life and the source of all wellness. As I affirm wholeness in prayer, I support all in being well and free--mind, body, and soul.
"But surely, God is my helper; the Lord is the upholder of my life."--Psalm 54:4

I Am Thankful - Today's Daily Word
Dear God, You are the one source of all good. I am thankful for Your spirit of giving that is being expressed by people individually and collectively throughout the world in such caring ways.
God, I appreciate the love expressed by dedicated people who serve others. Some plan and work to provide greater access to food, utilities, and emergency services. Others are caregivers who invest their skills and time toward the health and security of citizens locally and globally.
Acts of giving and receiving are essential to my true nature as one of Your creations. In gratitude for my many blessings, I give back to You and to the world that You have so lovingly created.

Comfort - Today's Daily Word
God is my strength, my guide, my all. God is the promise that when life's situations and events become difficult, transformation and recovery are possible. I am comforted as I pray and release my life into God's care.
When I think of others who may need comfort and strength in order to respond to life in attentive and effective ways, I affirm that God is life within them expressing as them. All good is possible. And as I meditate on the good, I hold thoughts of comfort and strength for each person.
The promise is not that there will be an absolute absence of difficulty, but that the indwelling spirit of God loves and supports us in each moment. Comforted by this awareness, I give thanks for life ongoing.
"This is my comfort in my distress, that your promise gives me life."--Psalm 119:50

Faith - Today's Daily Word
I use my imagination to understand the importance of my faith. I envision my thoughts as leaves floating on a river. The river itself is my consciousness. My spiritual faculty of faith is the power of the current that keeps my thoughts moving along in the right direction.
I remember this imagery when circumstances appear that would cause me to reconsider whether the momentum of my career, relationships, or spiritual understanding is moving at the optimal pace. Deepening my faith in prayer and meditation, I make choices that determine the direction of my life and the progress toward my goals.
With an understanding faith, I am flexible, serene, and calm. I know with certainty that I am making progress in life-affirming, positive directions.
"Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen."--Hebrews 11:1
Grace - Today's Daily Word
As I turn in thought to God, I reflect on the incredible, enduring gift of grace--God's unconditional love and acceptance.
To perceive the magnitude of God's grace is to experience the gentle, abiding love that enfolds all and blesses always. Even in the most trying moments, I am at peace, knowing that because God's grace is active, all is well.
With gratitude to God for the myriad ways grace shows up in my life, I act in ways that enrich the lives of those around me. The results are amazing: forgiveness and love, freely given and received; help and hope extended to those who are most in need.
Grace is light that shines forth through the darkness, lifting the fog of concern and revealing the power and presence of God. My heart beats with gratitude for the blessings of amazing grace.

Prosperity - Today's Daily Word
Abundance is everywhere. Golden stalks of wheat have emerged from tiny grains planted in a field. A surging, powerful ocean wave has developed from the convergence of countless drops of water. An overflowing continuation of goodness has resulted from a single, random act of kindness.
I not only observe prosperity, but I also participate in its flow. With God as my source, I am blessed with guidance, resources, and opportunity. I nurture and share these blessings, helping to create new forms of abundance. I pass along good.
With a joyful heart, I contribute to prosperity. With a thankful heart, I anticipate and accept God's abundance.

Life - Today's Daily Word
My love for life is not dependant upon my circumstances. Whether I'm excited to be beginning a new adventure or content with everything as it is, I love life. Even if I have a concern about something or someone, I know that God is present, leading, supporting, and carrying us through.
I am conscious of the order and balance throughout life--the obstacles and the opportunities, the extraordinary and the ordinary. I appreciate life and all expressions of it. Being fully present in each moment, I am grounded in the presence of God within me. I experience joy in knowing that the activity of God is working on my behalf at all times. Making the most of each moment, I love life fully and completely, and I thank God for the experience of it all.
"Keep your heart with all vigilance, for from it flow the springs of life."--Proverbs 4:23
Joy - Today's Daily Word
My purest, most profound form of gladness comes as I focus on the eternal wellspring of joy that God has created within me.
As a creation of God, I have the ability to make a positive adjustment in my thoughts and feelings--independent of what is happening in my life. For instance, I can make the decision to change from reacting to seeming lack or limitation to responding from the joy within my soul!
With this decision to change, my inner joy connects me with my outer world. I am aware of the sweetness of a child at play, the fragrance and beauty of a display of flowers, the kindness offered by another, and the many other ways joy appears in outer forms. Knowing the joy of Spirit is mine, I experience the fullness of life.
"He will yet fill your mouth with laughter, and your lips with shouts of joy."--Job 8:21

Breathe - Today's Daily Word
In my commitment to a healthy lifestyle, I realize a great benefit in making breathing a part of my focus. Taking in oxygen as I inhale, I feel refreshed. Exhaling, I release all concerns. As I breathe in--mindful that I am taking in the breath of life--I use affirmations of health and renewal.
Several times throughout the day, I close my eyes and affirm: I claim healthful habits every day in every way. I acknowledge: God guides me to right choices, and I live a life of health and well-being.
In times of seeming challenge, I repeat: I am relaxed and at peace. Divine guidance supports me in being whole, well, and free.
At all times I proclaim the truth about me: I am a vibrant creation of God, living a life of health and freedom.

Free - Today's Daily Word
When a butterfly emerges from its chrysalis, it leaves its past, and all that would keep it from being free, behind. No longer bound to earth, the butterfly is a new creation, a creature of flight.
I, too, am able to break free by leaving negative thoughts and unhealthy habits behind. I am free to use my imagination and skills, strength and determination to experience life to its fullest.
Seeking divine guidance, I give my attention to the highest and best ideas, divine ideas. I am inspired to make changes in my thinking and way of living that will allow me to express my true Christ nature.
Like the butterfly, I leave the things that no longer serve me behind and explore a world of infinite possibilities.
"For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death."--Romans 8:2
Patience - Today's Daily Word
A tiny seed must be nurtured and given time to develop into its full potential. I, too, develop in my own time, producing the fruits of Spirit I am meant to produce.
I remember to be patient with myself, allowing time for my God-given talents to be revealed. Words from a familiar prayer help me remain calm and assured:
Prayer of Faith
I now am wise, I now am true, Patient, kind, and loving too.All things I am, can do, and be, Through Christ, the Truth that is in me.
Saying this prayer reminds me that the loving presence of God within gives me the wisdom and strength to meet any situation.
"But as for that in the good soil, these are the ones who, when they hear the word, hold it fast in an honest and good heart, and bear fruit with patient endurance."--Luke 8:15

Guidance - Today's Daily Word
God's guidance is a welcome gift in my life. Instead of becoming frustrated with people and situations, I feel reassured and gain confidence knowing that Spirit is always present and guiding me.
There are often broader, deeper answers to my questions than I may at first comprehend. In prayer and meditation, I detach from needs, expectations, and any desire to react to what appears to be happening around me. This allows new information, additional support, and defining solutions to come forward. My world opens wide to possibilities, resources, and answers.
Inner peace, abundance, health, and love multiply and expand. Receptive to the guidance of Spirit, I move forward with confidence.
"This is God, our God forever and ever. He will be our guide forever."--Psalm 48:14

I give thanks for you and all those like you who have set aside or delayed personal goals in order to contribute to the good of humankind. You have done so much to bless me and many others.
I am grateful for your responsive nature when the world has needed someone caring and courageous. You have stepped forward to help, regardless of the challenge.
While events may have interfered with your plans for the present and the future, you were there to give of yourself. I give thanks for God's presence within you that strengthens you in every moment.
Child of God, I honor you in thought and prayer. May the richest blessings of abundance, wholeness, wisdom, and peace be yours this day and every day.
"On God rests my deliverance and my honor; my mighty rock, my refuge is in God."--Psalm 62:7

Let Go, Let - God Today's Daily Word
Little children are often in such a hurry to learn to do things for themselves that they don't listen to the instruction of adults.
Like a child, I may at times be so intent on accomplishing a task that I do not take time to consider that there may be more than one solution. However, when I open my mind to the wisdom of God before starting something, things always go much more smoothly.
Whatever I am doing, I am sure to receive a blessing when I let go of a need to have my own way. Instead, I let God guide me to right outcomes. As I release any tendency to control, I realize that God is the answer. I let go and let God, and everything falls into its perfect place.
"Teach me to do your will, for you are my God. Let your good spirit lead me on a level path."--Psalm 143:10
Guidance - Today's Daily Word
Life is full of opportunities for me to make choices. Some of the choices I make seem trivial, while others come in the form of life-altering decisions.
I take whatever needs a decision, large or small, into prayer. I feel God's loving presence blessing me and surrounding me as I contemplate the options.
Knowing that God is present within me in every moment, I know that divine guidance is always available to me. With my mind steadily focused on God's guidance, I make the absolutely best decision possible and then act upon it.
Right actions require right thinking, and right thinking occurs when I turn to God in prayer. My actions are guided by God's loving spirit, now and always.
"He will teach them the way that they should choose."--Psalm 25:12

Courage - Today's Daily Word
Whether this is a day of experiencing consistency or disruption, I apply new ideas and methods for resolution and achievement. I have the intelligence and energy to accomplish my heart's desires. And the desires of my heart are inspired by Spirit.
Demonstrating my beliefs and values, I have the courage to live my dreams. Releasing myself from conformity, I turn my unique thoughts into words and actions.
I confidently step out into new, unfamiliar territory. With divine guidance, I take my right path. I am courageous while trying something new--perhaps a new perspective, a new procedure, or even a new relationship.
Assured and unruffled by the boldness of my actions, I dare to be innovative. Day after day, I discover new skills and strengths that enrich all my experiences.
"Be strong and of good courage. Do not be afraid or dismayed."--1 Chronicles 22:13
Forgive - Today's Daily Word
Holding on to resentment or guilt can be so overwhelming that I feel as if I am carrying a heavy burden.
However, I have within me the capacity to forgive and to let go of the burden--releasing even a long-held grievance or hurt.
I call upon the indwelling peace of God to wash away any resentment or anger in my heart about my experiences. I let go; there is nothing to fear. I understand that I am safe, protected, and whole.
Through my willingness to accept God's peace as mine, I leave the past in the past. I live in the present moment--which is full with the presence of God, and full with peace, love, and acceptance.
"Therefore let all who are faithful offer prayer to you; at a time of distress, the rush of mighty waters shall not reach them."--Psalm 32:6

My Choice - Today's Daily Word
My choices affect the life I am creating. Yet how can I know which is the right perspective or the wisest decision?
God is the one true source of help whenever I need guidance. To be fully receptive to God's direction, I step away from the day's activities to a quiet place where I can listen for the still small voice within.
In prayer, I allow any distracting chatter inside my head to subside. I open my heart and mind to divine wisdom and receive the answers I seek. Knowing that God is my guide, I meet all situations with confidence.
I have divine insight and understanding, and I give expression to them as I go about my day. I have all I could ever need to make wise choices and take right actions.
"My mouth shall speak wisdom; the meditation of my heart shall be understanding."--Psalm 49:3
Found - Today's Daily Word
My temporarily forgetting where I have left my keys or cell phone may not seem like an urgent matter--unless this happens right before I am to leave for work or an appointment. Worry or upset never helps me find what seems to be lost; it can simply feed misguided feelings that build stress.
So before I start frantically searching for something, I stop and affirm: God knows and God shows. Nothing is lost in Spirit. It's amazing that when my awareness is of God, I go from searching to finding. I think of the right place to look, and I'm not so anxious that I overlook the keys or the cell phone that is right before my eyes.
When my memory isn't being of much help to me in finding something quickly, I know that God will. God knows and God shows.
"When she has found it, she calls together her friends and neighbors, saying, 'Rejoice with me, for I have found the coin that I had lost.' "--Luke 15:9

Divine Order - Today's Daily Word
Anytime I face a situation that seems out of sync with the natural order of things, I know what to do. I pause and reflect on God's presence within me and around me.
I then take a moment to retreat in thought to a favorite spot where I have enjoyed warm sunlight, a gentle breeze, or a flowing fountain. In this contemplative moment, I am immersed in the natural order of life.
God is the one source of order in the world and in my life, and remembering this lifts my spirits. Conscious of this truth, I rise above any concern about outcomes. As I relax, breathe easier, and maintain a positive outlook, my life unfolds in orderly ways.
"I will turn the darkness before them into light, the rough places into level ground. These are the things I will do, and I will not forsake them."--Isaiah 42:16
Contribution - Today's Daily Word
I contribute joyfully from the gifts of Spirit I have received.
As I give of my inner sacred qualities in service, I make a contribution to the lives of others and I receive joy and fulfillment in return. Individually or as part of a group, I contribute in ways that resonate in my soul.
I search out opportunities to be of service. I may volunteer at my local school, sharing a story with a child who's learning to read. I may visit residents in a nursing home, becoming a friendly, familiar face to those in care. I may give to a charity in my community or on the other side of the world.
I spread loving-kindness by doing and being there for others. I make a difference as, with a joyful heart, I contribute from the gifts of Spirit I have received.
"We have gifts that differ according to the grace given to us ... the teacher, in teaching; the exhorter, in exhortation; the giver, in generosity; the leader, in diligence; the compassionate, in cheerfulness."--Romans 12:6-8

Protected - Today's Daily Word
In autumn a blanket of leaves offers a mantle of protection to all the diversity of life on the floor of a forest. The fallen leaves have a purpose that becomes clearer when new life springs forth after winter's respite.
My prayer times fill me with the assurance that I am enfolded in the love of God. During these moments, I nurture feelings of safety and security, gaining a new sense of certainty. I am always in the presence of divine love because I am one with God.
I greet each day confidently as I trust the love of God within to guide me on safe pathways. Each step I take is with sureness and a feeling of security. I give thanks that I am cared for in every way.
"And you will have confidence, because there is hope; you will be protected and take your rest in safety."--Job 11:18
Comfort - Today's Daily Word
Thoughts of comfort engage my senses as warm, reassuring images come to mind: hearty, simmering soup; a soft comforter on a chilly night; a peaceful pet curled in my lap; one-to-one conversation with a dear one.
The greatest comfort of all, however, is the comfort of ever-present Spirit. Even when there appear to be no answers, God is here. I breathe deeply and pray, allowing the peace and love that are present to infuse my very being. I am reassured spiritually, physically, and emotionally. Caring and peace surround me, confirming that I am supported and loved.
And I never have to pray alone. I can reach out with a phone call and be blessed by the familiar greeting: "Silent Unity. How may we pray with you?"
"Praise the Lord! ... He heals the brokenhearted, and binds up their wounds."--Psalm 147:1, 3

Discovery - Today's Daily Word
I am on a mission of discovery, a spiritual quest that truly satisfies my soul. Throughout my journey, I am learning the myriad ways that the presence of God is active in my life. Each day I acquire a greater depth of understanding that in every moment, God's presence surrounds, upholds, and flows through me.
As a creation of God in a world of God's creation, I help others along the way on their quest. When the people around me are searching for greater abundance and wholeness, I affirm for them that they have all this and even more as they discover and rediscover God's presence more completely.
This is the greatest discovery of all: God is the one source of abundance and wholeness, wisdom and strength that we seek.
"When you search for me, you will find me; if you seek me with all your heart, I will let you find me, says the Lord."--Jeremiah 29:13-14

Joy - Today's Daily Word
During a challenging time, I may feel cut off from feeling any joy because of what is going on in my life and the lives of my loved ones. What I know to be true, however, is that there is a joy within me that can never be taken away from me by anything or anyone in the outer.
If ever an appearance of lack or limitation seems troubling, I know what to do. The joy that God has created within me is powerful enough, comprehensive enough, and expansive enough for me to experience a gladness of the soul whenever I call it forward.
As I do, I embrace the abundance inherent in every situation. I rejoice in the power of God to transform, heal, and provide. I live the fullness of life that is possible because I am spirit, mind, and body, a whole and holy creation of God.
"You will have pain, but your pain will turn into joy."--John 16:20

Harmony - Today's Daily Word
To ensure that I live in harmony with all others today, I begin my day by spending a few moments in communion with God--my source of love and peace. In the stillness, I feel God's love welling up within me, and I reflect on the truth that this love lives in the hearts of all others.
Through shared experiences, people everywhere create new ways of expressing themselves--their ideas and ideals, their needs and dreams. I contribute my prayers for harmony to this process as I immerse myself in divine love.
Love encourages us to communicate with one another in harmonious ways. Love guides us in acts of kindness, feelings of compassion, and thoughts of understanding so that we live in and contribute to a happy, healthy world.
"Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony."--Colossians 3:14
Aware - Today's Daily Word
Once when Jesus was attempting to explain a spiritual truth, His disciples complained because the teaching was difficult. They were looking at it through a filter of limited thinking. He was teaching them about spiritual insight that was beyond what they were comprehending in the physical world. It was a message of "spirit and life."
Whenever life seems difficult and there is a need for healing, I affirm: Spirit within has given me life and is renewing me with life. Having affirmed wholeness, I sit in the silence continuing to be aware that Spirit is healing and strengthening me.
Guided by Spirit, I honor and take care of my physical body. I always know, however, that Spirit within is my true source of wholeness. In this awareness, I am at peace.
"It is the spirit that gives life; the flesh is useless. The words that I have spoken to you are spirit and life."--John 6:63

Prosperity - Today's Daily Word
There is never a lack of examples of God's abundance. Earth is teeming with life in all its diverse expressions. Food and water are provided in abundant supply. The world is uniting in wonderfully mysterious, perfectly orchestrated harmony. The abundance of God blesses and fulfills beyond any desire or need.
When I place these examples in the forefront of my awareness, I connect deeply with God's abundance. Joy and happiness are the by-products of living my life in appreciation of all that is and all that is to be.
I am prospered by the inexhaustible good that nourishes my mind, body, and spirit. Living in the light of God's abundance, I am fulfilled beyond measure.
"He has not left himself without a witness in doing good--giving you rains from heaven and fruitful seasons, and filling you with food and your hearts with joy."--Acts 14:17

Free - Today's Daily Word
Freedom is just as much about all that I am capable of being as it is about what I have discontinued doing. That vacuum that was created as I released all old, unwanted thoughts and habits is now being filled with new, desirable, life-enhancing thinking and acting. I am strengthened and inspired.
Affirming what is positive and enriching in thought and action, I know that nothing can deny me the healthy, happy life that God created me to live.
Declaring myself free from harmful habits, I let God direct me in a total mind-and-body renewal. I am bold and confident in leaving behind past ways of life and embracing new, enhancing experiences.
"When Jesus saw her, he called her over and said, 'Woman, you are set free from your ailment.' When he laid his hands on her, immediately she stood up straight and began praising God."--Luke 13:12-13

Change - Today's Daily Word
"Change"--the very word may seem overwhelming. I may wonder how or where change is needed or how I should respond to it.
In reflection, I realize that transformation is the orderly outcome of change.
I respond to being in the flow of the river of change by the choices I make every day. Aware of divine guidance, I am centered and calm. I receive sacred direction in prayer, meditation, or reflection, and in the synchronicity of my days. In making a decision that enhances my life and the lives of people around me, I may receive one divine solution or several.
I move with ease, understanding, and guidance--with change, through change, and on to the next change!
"Let us choose what is right; let us determine among ourselves what is good."--Job 34:4

Unique - Today's Daily Word
Because of our diverse, unique features, talents, and backgrounds, we each fill a special place in life. At times we may wonder how we fit into what seems like a jigsaw puzzle of humanity. Yet being true to Spirit within each of us, we are magnificent, unfolding creations of God. We complete one another by being a unique part of the whole.
No one person can take the place of another. Being unique in the way we think, look, and sound, we add substance to the entirety of God's family.
When all the pieces of a jigsaw puzzle are in place, the true picture emerges. So it is with each one of us. As unique as we are, we join with one another as the family of God.
"Because you are precious in my sight, and honored, and I love you, I give people in return for you, nations in exchange for your life."--Isaiah 43:4

Let Go, Let God - Today's Daily Word
Awaiting the outcome of a situation can challenge my peace of mind, but only if I let it. I choose not to let it.
Looking to God in prayer, I call upon my vital source of inner strength. I deepen my spiritual understanding and gain greater insight and patience. During my prayer time, I release any concerns and preconceived ideas about how the situation will unfold. I am ready for great results.
My faith in God helps me replace any negative perception with a positive outlook. With renewed strength, I relax into a realization of God's presence and let events develop according to divine timing.
Through greater strength and deeper faith, I trust God for the right resolution and the perfect outcome.
"What is my strength, that I should wait? And what is my end, that I should be patient?"--Job 6:11

Faith - Today's Daily Word
There are times when, without a thought, I trust in what I cannot see, feel, or otherwise comprehend. I have faith that there is oxygen in the air to breathe. I trust that the dark of night will give way to a new sunrise.
All that I trust has its foundation in my faith in God and all that has been created. Though I may not physically see or feel the spirit of God, I know God is always present.
The undeniable truth is that God guides me, heals me, and protects me now. I have faith in the presence, love, and power of God being expressed by others. My dear ones are guided, healed, safe, and secure.
My faith reassures me. It is the launching pad of my zeal for life and my appreciation of all that is good. With faith, I affirm: There is one power and presence--God!
"First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for all of you, because your faith is proclaimed throughout the world."--Romans 1:8

Grace - Today's Daily Word
The ever-present activity of Divine Love is grace in action, everywhere present--within each person and situation. The free-flowing activity of this love is continually moving in and throughout all life.
As I remain open to this sustaining love in action, I allow the grace of God to support and bless me, to be my help in every need.
Divine Love connects me with people who become my helpmates. In times of challenge, I open my eyes and my awareness to the sacred love that is all around me, coming through the supportive actions of others.
I am upheld and strengthened by the grace of God throughout times of dealing with both everyday matters and major difficulties. I rise up and move forward, supported fully by the grace of God.
"We want you to know, brothers and sisters, about the grace of God that has been granted."--2 Corinthians 8:1

Balanced Life - Today's Daily Word
As I make plans for the day, the wisdom of an ageless scripture reassures me: "For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven."
Centering my thoughts and decisions in the presence of God, I achieve balance in all my activities. Reflective, prayerful moments remind me to allow for time alone and for time shared with others.
I set aside a portion of my day for productive activity, and I also establish time for playful activity. I have time to give and time to receive. By balancing the activities that involve spirit, mind, and body, I live a full and dynamic life.
"I will study the way that is blameless. When shall I attain it? I will walk with integrity of heart within my house."--Psalm 101:2

Variety - Toady's Daily Word
With appreciation, I observe the variety represented in the world. Every region contains awesome, individual, God-created expressions of nature: in animals, vegetation, and even weather patterns.
In my own surroundings, I meet people of different personalities, lifestyles, and backgrounds. I am blessed to be able to pause and see life from various perspectives.
Today, I add variety. With divine guidance, I break out of my usual activity and try something different: perhaps an alternate route to work, a fresh way to connect in a relationship, or a new choice toward more healthful living. Small changes help me to transition smoothly into a new behavior.
From a new, open perspective, I approach life with God-inspired insight.
"I have good advice and sound wisdom; I have insight, I have strength."--Proverbs 8:14

Imagine - Today's Daily Word
Using my faculty of imagination, I explore possibilities, stimulate a flow of creative ideas, build on skills I have already developed, and discover new ones.
Having left behind any self-imposed or otherwise suggested limitations, I have stepped into a world of opportunity and newness. Nothing seems routine or unimportant. Nothing is unattainable or impossible.
I view myself and others in the light of truth: We have unlimited potential to accomplish our hearts' desires. Launching out on my own or collaborating with others, I bring spiritual qualities of discernment and creativity to all my contributions.
I let my creative imagination act on whatever honors God and all that God has created. I imagine, accept, and contribute to the highest and best possibilities.
"But those who are noble plan noble things."--Isaiah 32:8

Forgive - Today's Daily Word
Complaining takes me down the path of a consciousness of lack and negativity. Choosing forgiveness takes me down the path to positive, affirmative experiences.
By inviting the love of God to guide me, I avoid the burden that comes from holding a grudge or making someone a scapegoat for something that has happened. In the awareness of God's love, I release the trivial upsets and events that might otherwise build day after day to huge proportions.
As I develop the practice of forgiveness, the tendency to complain naturally diminishes, and my world becomes brighter. Forgiveness becomes my normal way of relating to others and to myself. I am living in full awareness of God's love.
"Bear with one another and, if anyone has a complaint against another, forgive each other; just as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive."--Colossians 3:13
Expect Good - Today's Daily Word
I embrace each new day, knowing that my thoughts and actions help create my reality. As I go through life expecting good, I recognize it and accept it in all the wonderfully diverse ways it comes to me.
I begin my day by expressing gratitude to God for the warmth of the sunshine, the splendor of the changing colors of the trees, the laughter and excitement of children scampering off to school or play.
On this day and always, I expect and see the good in everyone I meet. I affirm the best possible outcome in each circumstance, knowing that divine order is always actively at work in my life and in the lives of those I love and cherish.
According to a divine plan, the universe responds in kind to my expectations of good.
"O Lord God, you are God, and your words are true, and you have promised this good thing to your servant."--2 Samuel 7:28

Teach Me - Today's Daily Word
Each new day offers me fresh opportunities to learn and to grow. I am learning to know myself and my place in the world more clearly and to discern my oneness with Spirit and all of creation more deeply. As I seek Spirit's direction, my prayer is "Teach me."
Opportunities to learn may show up in varied disguises. If I'm facing a challenge, rather than seeing it as a burden, I accept it as an opportunity to learn. When I travel to a new city or meet someone I've never met before, I am given the chance to expand my horizons and gain a new outlook on life.
Time spent in the silence is yet another opportunity to deepen my understanding of Spirit. There is so much for me to learn in life, and I am open and receptive to the lessons I am offered.
"Teach me the way I should go, for to you I lift up my soul."--Psalm 143:8

Divine Order - Today's Daily Word
There is a divine order that supports a world of abundance even though it may not have been evident in the past or is not evident currently. Aligning my thoughts, words, and actions with divine order, however, I contribute to this abundance.
I surrender all thoughts of limited thinking as I make a conscious connection with the wisdom of God. Divine ideas become clear in the right time and in the right way, and I act on these ideas.
There are people the world over who share a vision of divine order with me that is evident in every life, area, and country. The thoughts, words, and expressions of our vision grow and expand as spiritual insight that reveals and upholds a world of order.
"And God is able to provide you with every blessing in abundance, so that by always having enough of everything, you may share abundantly in every good work."--2 Corinthians 9:8

Listen - Today's Daily Word
When something in life shows up as a dilemma, I first seek an answer in prayer. The answer to what I am to do may come immediately. Or it may come at a time and in a manner that I least expect.
My prayer time prepares me to listen and learn--however the answer may come. I listen with my heart--remaining open to unlimited possibilities.
I may then receive spiritual insight by hearing what friends and family have to say. Or someone may ask for advice from me, and I will have the chance to be of help to them. By my very act of listening, I am providing this person an opportunity to sort through questions and discover the answer. My heart is open to the wisdom of Spirit. As I listen with my heart, I am blessed and I bless others.
"Listen to advice and accept instruction, that you may gain wisdom for the future."--Proverbs 19:20

Give It Time - Today's Daily Word
As much as I enjoy instant gratification, I know that sometimes it takes time to achieve the desired result. For instance, I learned to crawl before I walked, to walk before I ran. Therefore, I don't fight time; I recognize that it's on my side. All that needs to happen can happen quickly; it may also take time for the perfect result to appear. So I cooperate with God as the fulfillment of the perfect plan unfolds.
I am a part of the creative process that is taking place. Thinking and working in an atmosphere of expecting the best and giving it time to develop, I am my most creative, my most effective. I enjoy the journey toward my goals as much as reaching them. Life is unfolding daily, and I have the time to give each day my best and accept the best from it.
"The earth produces of itself, first the stalk, then the head, then the full grain in the head."--Mark 4:28

Harmony - Today's Daily Word
If anything seems to be going amiss, I know that there is an uplifting, supportive way I can bring harmony to the situation. Rather than making a checklist of what is wrong in my life or in my world, I make one of what is right.
Then I build on this harmonious outlook. I replace any tendency I may have to complain about a circumstance at home or at work with a resolve to encourage myself and those around me to be creative in finding a solution. Together we contribute our own ideas and skills toward creating a harmonious outcome.
Rather than taking actions that are self-serving, I act in ways that benefit everyone while supporting my personal goals. Word by word and act by act, I help create harmony in my home, workplace, and community.
"Live in harmony with one another."--Romans 12:16

Forgive - Today's Daily Word
With forgiveness, I offer myself and others a second chance to strengthen our relationships. I boldly affirm that we will have certain victory when we live from our inner, holy nature, the Christ of our beings.
This in no way excuses inconsiderate, unloving behavior by me or anyone else. With forgiveness, I release whatever may have caused me to feel stressful and invite myself and others to be the Christ in expression.
Forgiveness lifts the cloud of confusion from my thoughts. I have a clear understanding of the potential for good that each of us has and can express. I bless myself and others each time I am willing to forgive and to make changes in the way I relate to them. Such changes keep our relationships moving, strengthened by this positive direction.
"For whatever is born of God conquers the world. And this is the victory that conquers the world, our faith."--1 John 5:4

Grace - Today's Daily Word
Grace is an unearned blessing--a gift from God. Grace is also something I can pass on. Whenever I go above and beyond some good that I or others expect of me, I am God's grace in action.
Helping someone who did not expect any support, I put the principle of giving and receiving into action, and somewhere down the line, I will be blessed. Doing more than is required of me may generate immediate rewards or bless me at a later time.
Giving fully to life, I affirm God's grace, and I receive abundantly, perhaps in ways that I may not have considered. The grace of God blesses me with wholeness, prosperity, wisdom, peace, and the capacity to be God's grace in action.
"Let us therefore approach the throne of grace with boldness, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need."--Hebrews 4:16

New - Today's Daily Word
I relax and am at peace as I contemplate this season of change. I picture summer's green leaves being transformed into ruby and amber autumn jewels. The smell of the earth grounds me. Breathing evenly and fully, I continue to relax.
As a new season begins, I feel new beginnings within me--the stirring of ideas, the welcoming of transition. I give myself permission to change, to grow, and to evolve. Immersed in an awareness of God's guiding presence, I have new outlooks that bring new results. Maintaining my expectation is as simple as taking in my next breath.
I am refreshed and ready to greet the season with grateful anticipation.

Let Go, Let God - Today's Daily Word
Rather than being fixated on why something is happening to me, I "gift" myself with the experience of going to God within. I am ready to receive what it is I need to know and do now. Having released any thought of physical or emotional pain from past events and circumstances, I clear the way for a healing transformation to begin.
Focusing on God's presence within, I quietly affirm: I let go and let God. Not being burdened with trying to "fix" my life, I realize a new clarity about what I can do to enhance my life. As I let go and let God, I feel immediately at peace with myself.
My receptivity to Spirit's guidance brings me greater peace, broader perspectives, and truer understanding. I am enthusiastic about life and the good that awaits me today.
"You show me the path of life. In your presence there is fullness of joy."--Psalm 16:11

Courage - Today's Daily Word
If I'm "stuck in a rut," I don't have the traction needed to move forward in achieving my goals. However, I grow as I fully participate in life--overcoming challenges, gaining understanding, and enriching my relationships. Whether I courageously welcome new ideas, new technology, or new associations, opportunities for growth and insight emerge.
When I accept the changes in life as blessings, I enjoy moving out of my comfort zone and allow myself to think and act with greater wisdom and meaning. Releasing expectations of how things should be, I invite God to guide me with new inspiration. I am willing to reach out, initiate, and cooperate to create valuable outcomes.
These are times of discovery. They allow me to apply my God-given qualities toward growth and exploration.
"Be strong, and let your heart take courage."--Psalm 27:14

Faith - Today's Daily Word
Whenever I feel challenged by a person or a situation in my life, I turn to the presence of God within me. I draw from my source of love, strength, and courage.
During the times when I step away from the day's concerns and pray, I more fully center myself in God's presence and allow my faith to surface. I nurture it with love as I would a seedling. I nourish this faith with affirmations of courage and shine the light of truth on the path ahead. I am strengthened so that I move forward and act wisely.
My faith is not for me alone--it fills me with peace at those times when people I care about face difficult circumstances. Faith helps me lovingly release any anxious thoughts about them and place my trust in God to guide them in discovering their own inner strength.
"Keep alert, stand firm in your faith, be courageous, be strong. Let all that you do be done in love."--1 Corinthians 16:13-14

Belief -Today's Daily Word
What I believe is reflected in my life every day. I honor God and the gift of life by believing in myself and in the potential that lies within me. I am the healthy, prosperous, and wise person God created me to be.
My beliefs guide the choices I make. Knowing I've been given unique talents and skills, I use my gifts in wise and loving ways that serve myself and others. Knowing that I am a child of God, I set high standards for myself so that I live a life of excellence--mentally, physically, and spiritually.
Centered in God, I have purpose in being a unique expression of divine life in the world. I believe in myself and in the power and presence of God moving in and through me. With God, I am all that I am meant to be.
"May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit."--Romans 15:13

Encourage - Today's Daily Word
Encouraging others, I hold a mirror up to them so that they see their inner divine nature. When I see the beauty of Spirit in another person, it's easy to encourage that person to reach beyond any perceived limitations and reach new heights of achievement.
I may be moved to call a friend just to let him know I am thinking of him. Or I feel drawn to say a word of assurance to a coworker to boost her confidence. In both cases, Spirit moves me to say the right thing at just the right time. Encouraging children is an awesome experience.
Receiving words of reinforcement, children are eager to try something new and experience the joy of success. Seeing children or anyone I love finding joy in new accomplishments is deeply gratifying to my soul.
"For with you is the fountain of life; in your light we see light."--Psalm 36:9

Comfort - Today's Word of the Day
The most natural, loving response of a parent is to comfort a child who is emotionally upset or in physical pain. Massaging a sore muscle or bandaging a cut helps relieve the physical discomfort. A kind word or a hug heals the emotional hurt and helps the distress fade into nothingness.
Whatever has transpired in my life, I turn to the love of God within me, and I am comforted. I also experience the love of God in expression through others as they comfort me. A friend listens compassionately, or a family member welcomes me with open arms. In each case, I experience the love of God expressed in my world.
Whenever I am called on to comfort someone, I do. My words and actions flow from the love of God within me to embrace them.
"As a mother comforts her child, so I will comfort you."--Isaiah 66:13

Serendipity - Today's Word of the Day
Affirmative prayer is a powerful way of co creating my experiences in life. Affirming wholeness, I anticipate complete renewal of my mind, body, and soul. Affirming wisdom, I expect that divine ideas will flow to me and that I will recognize them and apply them in my life.
So many times, however, I am blessed in ways I never considered possible. For instance, at first I may have been reluctant to make a change in my life. When I did, I experienced greater blessings than I had ever before imagined were possible. I pray, knowing that God never limits me to only what I expect or consider valuable. As I give thanks for all blessings, I open the way for God to work miracles in my life.
"I was ready to be sought out by those who did not ask, to be found by those who did not seek me."--Isaiah 65:1
